Navy Women's Swimming: Allison Ranzau ('11 Alpharetta, Ga.) set a new pool record of 1:52.93 in winning the 200 freestyle. Allison has been named to Navy's All Patriot League First Team for her performance at the 2008 Patriot League Meet and is the recipient of Honorable Mention All America honors for her two NCAA "B" cuts in the 200 Free and 500 Free at 2008 Patriots.

Navy Men's Basketball: Navy freshman center Mark Veazey ('11 Lilburn, Ga.) was named the initial Patriot League Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week after helping Navy to a 1-1 record over the weekend. Veazey scored 18 points with 11 rebounds in just 38 minutes of action. (Nov.12)

Eight Navy football players have been named to the Phil Steele College Football Magazine All-Independent team. Junior quarterback Kaipo Noa Kaheaku-Enhada (Kapolei, Hawaii), senior slot back Reggie Campbell (Sanford, Fla.), junior fullback Eric Kettani (Kirtland, Ohio), senior center Antron Harper (Eastman, Ga.) and senior guard Ben Gabbard (Arnold, Md.) were selected to the offense, while senior linebacker Irv Spencer (Oakwood Village, Ohio) was selected to the defense. Singleton Wins 2007 FedEx Orange Bowl Courage Award: Navy's Zerbin Singleton is the winner of the FedEx Orange Bowl- FWAA Courage Award. Singleton, a senior slotback, overcame a troubled background to win an appointment to the Naval Academy, and is on track to reach his ultimate goal of becoming an astronaut.
